Associate Director, Philos Black

The Philos Project’s African American Affairs Team is looking for a curious, innovative, and driven individual who will assist the Director of Philos Black with various educational projects related to furthering positive Christian engagement in the Near East.

Qualifications: 
– Must embrace the Philos mission of promoting positive Christian engagement in the Near East
– Strong understanding of and interest in Near Eastern geopolitics, history, and religious dynamics
– Strong understanding of and interest in race relations and Black religious history in the US
– General understanding of Christian doctrine and institutional landscape
– Excellent writing and research skills
– Attention to detail
– Flexible and adaptable
– Creative and inquisitive mind
– Proficient in Microsoft Office
– Experience working with Salesforce preferred

Responsibilities: 
– Oversee institutional partnerships and student recruitment for Black Leadership Trip to Israel
– Provide feedback on and assist with developing educational resources
– Conduct research on various facets of the Near East (relevant people, places, religious groups, news, etc.) as needed
– Assist with event planning
– Summarize internal and external hearings/briefings/webinars as needed
– Write event summary reports
– Communicate with Philos Black leaders and/or outside stakeholders when needed
– Update relevant Salesforce contacts and data
