Nilsa Alvarez was raised in a Christian home in Florida with her Puerto Rican family. She participated in evangelism, youth leadership, ministry training, worship leading, missions and song-writing with Creative Ministry Solutions. She produced “Genex”, the first Christian Youth Radio Show in South Florida, and she and her husband, Pastor Gerardo Alvarez, worked at Comunidad Cristiana Pembroke Pines. She is a licensed minister with ICCM. She and her husband launched their own worship album “Todo a Cristo” (“All For King Jesus”), which is streamed in more than 25 different countries. She now leads the Intercession Academy at her church and mentors a team of young adults. Nilsa helped restart La Nueva 88.3FM's Youth Radio Program, now called “One Beat Live." She also expanded the “Backpack Program” (now "My City Alive") in Miami to connect local churches with hungry children.
