Intern At Philos

We are now accepting applications for our paid internship program in New York City. As a Philos Project intern, you will develop valuable professional skills while producing a body of work in your chosen field—whether that’s journalism, communications, foreign policy, or nonprofit management.

In addition to professional development, you will participate in educational programing in New York City—including visits to relevant area museums such as the 9/11 Memorial Museum and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Each full time intern will receive a monthly stipend of $1,800. We’re looking for interns with relevant experience and interest in Middle Eastern affairs, for the following positions:


Editorial Intern

  • Copyediting the Philos blog, The Region
  • Writes a minimum of three articles per week
  • Assists with curated aggregated article posting
  • Assists with blog archive recategorization

Research Intern

  • Conducts topical research on various areas of interest
  • Assists with resources development and compilation for website
  • Produces publishable reports
  • Writes weekly articles for Philos blog, The Region

Events and Operations Intern

  • Assists with office administrative tasks
  • Assists with event planning and execution
  • Assists Constituent Relations Director with membership program administration
  • Writes weekly articles for Philos blog, The Region

While we don’t provide housing for our interns, we recommend that accepted summer internship applicants seek housing in the vacant dormitory apartments of The King’s College in lower Manhattan. The closest building is 8 minutes away from our office and rent is $3,300 for the summer.
