Richard Land is president of Southern Evangelical Seminary. Prior to that, he served for 25 years as president of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, the Southern Baptist Convention’s official public policy arm. He graduated with a BA (magna cum laude) from Princeton University and a PhD from Oxford University. He also received a ThM (Honors Program) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Land served five terms with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. In February 2005, he was featured in Time as one of “The 25 Most Influential Evangelicals in America.”
Mark Tooley is currently president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy, a conservative religious and public policy think tank. Prior to joining the IRD in 1994, Mr. Tooley worked eight years for the Central Intelligence Agency. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and is a native of Arlington, Virginia. He is the author of Taking Back the United Methodist Church and Methodism and Politics in the 20th Century. His articles have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The American Spectator, First Things, Patheos, World, Christianity Today, The Weekly Standard, National Review Online,Washington Examiner, Human Events, Washington Times, Review of Faith and International Affairs, Touchstone, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Post, and elsewhere. He is a frequent commentator on radio and television.
Dan Senor is a bestselling author, adjunct senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, and an investor with a New York– based global investment fund. His most recent government position was in the administration of George W. Bush, where he served as chief spokesman and senior adviser to the Coalition in Iraq. Mr. Senor also served as a Pentagon adviser to U.S. Central Command in Qatar and foreign policy and communications aide in the U.S. Senate. He has advised a number of candidates for U.S. Senate. And, during the 2008 presidential election, Mr. Senor was a senior foreign policy adviser to Governor Mitt Romney.
