As tensions between Hezbollah and Israel in northern Israel continue to rise, Christians in Lebanon are increasingly concerned about pulling their country into a regional confrontation with Israel.
Local Lebanese anti-Hezbollah groups hacked the departure and arrival display screens at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport on Sunday, replacing the flight’s information with a message blaming Hezbollah for putting Lebanon on the verge of war with Israel.
Many social media campaigns, primarily by Lebanese Christians, were created under the hashtag #Lebanon_first, indicating that the Lebanese people do not want to trade their country’s peace for the sake of the Palestinian issue.
