ATTACKS BEGAN SATURDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 7, 2023
- Hamas, an Islamic terrorist group based in the Gaza Strip, launched a full-scale surprise attack on Israel around 6:00 am this Saturday morning, October 7, 2023.
- Hamas fighters broke through the Gaza-Israel fence and attacked dozens of towns in southern Israel.
CASUALTIES AND HOSTAGES
- Hamas fighters have killed at least 200 Israelis, wounded over 1,000, and are going house to house to kill men, women, and children in grisly fashion.
- An unknown number of Israelis have also been kidnapped and taken back to the Gaza Strip.
ISRAEL’S RESPONSE
- Israel has called up its reserves and is launching a massive counterattack to liberate the south.
MOTIVES
- This is a bloody religiously-motivated invasion of Israel by Palestinian fighters — and on Shabbat, no less.
- This war was fueled by the emboldened Iranian regime, which funds and directs Hamas.
- Recent U.S. foreign policy developments aimed at appeasing the regime has compromised the security of Israel.
